CARS provides rides at no cost in four-county-area of SW Missouri

At you stuck without wheels?

Do you live in the four county area of Jasper, Newton, Barton and McDonald Counties?

If so, you qualify to get a ride at no cost through the Community Action Ride System or CARS for short.

Cavenaugh Studyvin of CARS says the first step is making contact.

“You just need to set up a profile with us and then we would schedule you for your rides coming up,” she says.

“The number is 417-438-2925,” she adds.

CARS, which uses volunteer drivers, is a service of the Economic Security Corporation.

CARS uses volunteer drivers who use their own cars but do receive reimbursement for their mileage.
