Noel woman arrested after fatal hit and run

A woman from Noel, Missouri, has been arrested after a fatal hit and run in early November.

Court documents say 53-year-old Gloria Trejo was traveling near S. Kings Highway and Hall Ridge Road when the accident occurred on November 2nd.

A McDonald County Deputy says they found a man dead in the roadway.

Trejo told investigators that while she was driving “all of the sudden there was something in the middle of the road, so I swerved and I barely hit at first I thought it was a deer but I didn’t seem right. So I turned back to make sure and that’s when I saw it was a person. I got scared so I left.”

She was taken to the McDonald County Jail for leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.

The male victim’s name has not been made public.
