Joplin City Council meets tonight
The Joplin City Council meets tonight.
Items on the agenda include the widening of 20th St. west from Schifferdecker Avenue to Central City Road and, ultimately, to the Kansas State line.
The Council will also consider an emergency that would approve an agreement with Jeff Asbell Excavating & Trucking Inc. in the amount of just over $434,393 for Cox Avenue Stormwater Improvements
Also, Joplin citizen Mary Price has requested to speak on the Proposition B Sunset Tax and the use of taxpayers time on projects the City Council has denied.
The meeting gets underway at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall at 602 S. Main.
