One person dead in Altamont, Kansas fire

One person is dead as a result of a fire in Altamont, Kansas.

The fire took place around 10 last night at a motorcycle shop in that community.

When first responders arrived they found the structure fully engulfed in flame.

61-year-old Edward Escolas, the owner of the shop, died in the fire.

Numerous agencies took part in fighting the fire.

The Kansas State Fire Marshall and Kansas Bureau of Investigation are assisting with the investigation.
