Veterans Day meaning

Through Monday, there are several Veterans Day events in the area.

Local veteran Ted Donaldson told Newstalk KZRG why we honor veterans on November 11th.

“It’s a day to reflect, and remember why we served. We did that to perpetuate liberty and freedoms for this country. Everybody benefits from those of us that served in the military and we need to remember that.  It’s a day for all Americans to take a moment to pause and think about what those of us that put on the uniform did for them.   And we really need to come out and support the veterans whenever we get an opportunity to do that.”
