Oklahoma woman killed in accident on Highway 43 north of Seneca
An accident on Missouri Route 43, three miles north of Seneca, took the life of an Oklahoma woman around 7:45 Friday night.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident happened when a northbound 2017 Acura MDX driven by a 52-year-old adult female from Springfield, Missouri collided head-on with a southbound 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer reportedly driven by a 77-year-old Linda Johnson from Jay, Oklahoma.
The driver of the Trailblazer was pronounced dead at the scene. A 71-year old passenger in the Trailblazer suffered serious injuries.
The 52-year old female driver of the Acura was seriously injured and a 60-year-old male passenger in that car had minor injuries.
All the injured were transported to Mercy-Joplin Hospital.
In keeping with a new policy, no names of the drivers or passengers were included the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s online traffic crash report.
