Missouri Amendment 3 – What it means if you vote yes
What does a yes vote mean on Missouri Amendment 3?
Jasper County Clerk Charlie Davis tells Newstalk KZRG: “A yes vote means that abortions will happen anytime for any reason by anybody for any age of an individual. It gets rid of any requirement for there to be any counseling or any doctor information to be given to the patient, to let them know what could happen if something goes wrong.”
Davis went on to say “It also allows gender affirming care for minors without parental consent. That’s why they chose the words very quickly. It’s on reproductive rights, not abortion, reproductive rights”.
According to Davis: “Your twelve-year-old son, that wishes to be a girl and he’s at school, the teacher could take them and have puberty blockers provided to them without parental consent. It is actually a very ugly amendment. A yes amendment would allow all these things to happen and no would keep these laws in place right now. You can actually have an abortion up until the day before you would normally deliver.”
