Neosho Fire Department receives Firepup costume

Neosho, MO – The City of Neosho Fire Department is excited to announce the purchase of a brand-new Firepup® costume, the $3,500 costume was purchased with funds raised through the National Fire Safety Council, Inc., and will play a key role in enhancing our public safety education efforts, especially among children.
Each year, approximately $4,000 is raised from generous contributions from local businesses, individuals, and organizations, through the National Fire Safety Council. These funds help support the purchase of public education materials and are used for educational programs aimed at increasing fire safety awareness across Neosho. The addition of the Firepup® costume will further engage and educate children, making fire safety lessons more interactive and memorable.
“The support from our community is what allows us to continue these valuable public education efforts,” said Neosho Fire Chief Aaron Houk. “This costume will serve as an important tool in teaching fire safety, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed.”
The Firepup® costume will be featured at public safety events, school visits, and community outreach programs, helping the Neosho Fire Department foster a safer community.
