Joplin City Council to meet Monday night

The Joplin City Council meets Monday night.

Agenda items include ….

* A measure that would authorize the city to loan over $1 million to the Joplin Industrial Development Authority for the purchase of land for an industrial park;

* A council bill that hat would let the City and the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission conduct a transportation planning program for city.

* And an ordinance to allow the City and the Economic Security Corporation to use funds for a Coordinated Entry Program – a critical tool to address the issue of homelessness in the city.

The meeting gets underway at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall at 602 S. Main Street.
