Two under arrest in Pittsburg on alleged felony drug charges
PITTSBURG, KANSAS – This morning (Wednesday October 9th), at approximately 9 a.m., law enforcement officers with the Pittsburg Police Department and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation executed a drug search warrant at 103 W Forest Street, Apartment D in Pittsburg.
Upon execution of the search warrant one individual was detained and evidence was collected. A second subject was located at his place of employment and taken into custody.
As a result, 42-year–old Willie Lee Cubie Jr. and 39–year-old Chelsea Nicole Hackett, of Pittsburg, were arrested and transported to the Crawford County Sheriff’s office for booking.
Cubie and Hackett were arrested for felony distribution of narcotics (suspected fentanyl), felony possession of narcotics (suspected fentanyl), felony distribution of methamphetamine, felony possession of methamphetamine, felony distribution of marijuana, felony distribution of cocaine, felony possession of cocaine, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, felony criminal use of weapons, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
The suspects are currently being held without bond.
Cubie and Hackett are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
