Neosho’s Fall Festival this Saturday in Downtown Neosho

The Neosho’s Fall Festival is held annually on the first Saturday of October in Historic Downtown Neosho.

This is an arts- and craft-centered festival presented by the City of Neosho with supporting roles provided by the local Neosho Arts Council and the Newton County Historical Society among others.

Jessica from Neosho tells Newstalk KZRG:

“I think it’s really just to bring the community together. And to celebrate the changing of seasons and things like that.  It does have some historical aspects. We are bringing back “history alley”, along with the Newton County historical society.   And then there’s also “artist alley”, which has been a continuing thing that kind of highlights some local artists beyond just being a part of the festival. Those are just 2 extra pieces with that, but it’s definitely becoming a part of our history being our 56th year.”

The centerpiece of the festival is the historic courthouse square, which is filled with regional craft vendors, local food trucks, family games and activities, live music, and more. Other activities on and immediately adjacent to the square are other activity centers including:

  • Artists Alley: Jeff Jones
  • History Alley: Justin Carnahan
  • Bounce Houses & Laser Tag
  • Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest
  • Food and Refreshments

Lions Club breakfast starts at 7 Saturday morning with all vendors open at 10 AM.
