Charges filed after police pursuit ends in crash in Joplin
Several charges have been filed against a man who led police on a pursuit which ended in a crash in Joplin Wednesday.
It all began around 11:30am, when Joplin Police tried to pull over a black passenger car near 7th and Schifferdecker. The suspect refused to stop, leading police into Joplin.
The pursuit ended at 20th and Connecticut when the car t-boned a SUV at the intersection.
The suspect, Dakota Bell, now faces resisting arrest, careless driving, driving under the influence of drugs, drug possession, and driving with a suspended license.
He sits in the Joplin City Jail on no bond.
A woman in his car was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The driver of the SUV was not hurt.
