Joplin Civil Air Patrol Weekend Events
On Sunday, October 6, 2024, members of the Col Travis Hoover Composite Squadron, Civil Air Patrol will participate in two events.
The annual Wings And Wheels car and motorcycle show is hosted by the Freedom of Flight Museum, at the General Aviation Terminal at 5501 Dennis Weaver Dr, from 2:00 to 4:30 PM.
The Col Travis Hoover Composite Squadron will participate with an Aircraft on static display, and will have cadets and senior members present to answer questions about the Civil Air Patrol and their missions.
The same day, the squadron will hold a poker run fundraiser, with registration starting at 8:00 AM at the General Aviation Terminal. The squadron uses fundraisers to help support the Cadet Program, as well as other squadron activities.
