Two people injured in a pair of head-on collisions on bridge west of Carthage
Two people were injured in a pair of head-on collisions on the HH highway bridge over Center Creek west of Carthage around 3:40 Sunday afternoon.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 59-year-old Rachele J. Lord of Carthage crossed the centerline on the bridge and hit a 2024 Chrysler Pacifica driven by 32-year-old Christina N. Dumas of Joplin head-on causing it to go off the roadway.
Lord’s vehicle then hit a 2012 Cadillac SRX driven by 59-year-old Harlan Lancaster of Webb City head-on.
Lord and Lancaster both had moderate injuries.
They were treated at Freeman West.
Dumas was not injured.
