“Canada Concert” scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday at MSSU’s Taylor Performing Arts Center
Missouri Southern State University will present its “Canada Concert” at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2 at Taylor Performing Arts Center on the Missouri Southern campus.
Missouri Southern is located at 3950 E. Newman Road in Joplin.
Dr. Brandon E. Robinson, director of bands at Missouri Southern, will lead the MSSU Concert Band in a concert featuring the music of Canadian composers.
The concert will open with the playing of the Canadian National Anthem, O Canada.
Other selections will include Bali by Michael Colgrass, Autumn by Cait Nishimura, The Way You Look Tonight in the style of Oscar Peterson, and much more.
This concert, part of MSSU’s Canada Semester, is free and open to the public.
