Royals finish regular season with win, will head to Baltimore for Wild Card series

The Kansas City Royals finished the 2024 regular season with a 4-2 win over the Atlanta Braves.

That brings their record to 86-76. That’s a 30-game improvement from their 106-loss season in 2023.

With the win AND a Detroit Tigers loss, the Royals clinch the 5-seed and will head to Baltimore to face the Orioles in a three-game series, starting Tuesday.

Shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. finished the season with a .332 batting average, the highest in the MLB.
