Native Americans voter registration day events

Today, Tuesday, is Oklahoma Indian Registration day to get Native Americans signed up to vote.

According to Callie Bowden, until 5 this afternoon:  

“We’re going to be in Quapaw at 326 Main Street at our farmer’s market, also called our mercantile, and we are going to be registering people to vote.   So we’re going to be signing people up if you do show up, we’ve got some great swag. We’ve got some beanies and cups and coffee and hats and shirts and the whole nines.”

Another registration day will take place on Friday night from 6:30 to 8:30 at the Quapaw High School’s annual Native American Game.
