Two from Commerce held in connection with toddler’s death

Two people from Commerce, Oklahoma are being held as suspects in the death of a toddleer.

32-year-old Daniel Ash and 30-year-old Amber Murphy were arrested by the Quapaw Marshal’s Service and are being held in the Cherokee County jail.

Ash and Murphy are being held for abuse of a child; unknown circumstance and voluntary manslaughter, unknown circumstance.

Bond has been set for $30,000 for both Murphy and Ash.

The Tulsa Medical Examiner’s office will determine the cause of death for the child.
