Crash on U.S. 59 leaves Joplin motorcycle rider in serious condition
A crash between a motorcycle and a car on U.S. 59 just north of Goodman a little after 2 Saturday afternoon left an motorcycle rider from Joplin in serious condition.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when a southbound 2016 Kia Forte driven by 19-year-old Colter E. Vick of Goodman attempted to make a left turn in front of a northbound 2014 Harley Davidson operated by 76-year-old Bernard Milligan of Joplin.
That caused the motorcycle to strike the Kia.
Milligan was seriously injured. He was taken to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin.
Vick was not injured.
