Judge rules casino constitutional amendment should be on Missouri November ballot
The Ozark River and Gaming Convention has won their lawsuit against the Missouri Secretary of State’s office, with a Cole County judge saying the proposal for casinos at the Lake of the Ozarks should be on the November ballot.
Earlier this month, the Missouri Secretary of State’s office had ruled against the constitutional amendment claiming not enough signatures were collected.
The judge ruled enough were collected.
Currently, casinos in Missouri are only allowed on the Missouri and Mississippi rivers.
The amendment being voted on will allow for one casino on the Osage River that flows into the Lake of the Ozarks.
