Man from Stockton charged with burglary, armed criminal action

A man from Stockton, Missouri is under arrest, following a brief manhunt.

18-year-old Layne Thornton of Stockton in Cedar County is charged with first-degree burglary and armed criminal action.

According to a probable cause statement from the Stockton Police Department, Thornton, who was intoxicated at the time, entered a home looking for someone who was not there.

He allegedly threatened an occupant with a handgun.

His initial appearance is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 30.

He is being held in the Cedar County Jail without bond.
