Vinita man under federal indictment for arson
A man from Vinita, Oklahoma is now under federal indictment for allegedly setting fire to an apartment building with residents still inside several weeks ago
67-year-old Roger Lee Woolman of Vinita, a member of the Cherokee Nation, is charged with Arson in Indian Country.
He is charged with maliciously setting fire to Burroughs Manor and endangering the lives of several occupants.
A few residents were treated for smoke inhalation and four firefighters were checked for heat exhaustion but no one suffered major injuries.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Vinita Police Department are the investigative agencies.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Nathan E. Michel is prosecuting the case.
