Attorney General files suit to prevent ACA from funding undocumented immigrants
Missouri, along with 14 other U.S. States, have filed a lawsuit against the Biden Administration.
The lawsuit, led by neighboring Kansas, alleges that undocumented immigrants are being given Affordable Care Act health insurance benefits.
The lawsuit alleges that the proposed regulation, which is set to take effect in November, would make over 200-thousand migrants eligible for taxpayer-subsidized health plans, including the reported 77-thousand who call Missouri home.
The coalition claims that the regulation is a violation of the Affordable Care Act.
According to the Missouri Attorney General’s office, the regulation would cost Missouri taxpayers up to 462-million-dollars a year.
President Biden, who labeled them “dreamers,” says that he is committed to providing them the same access to health as their neighbors.
