Parsons Police Department to close Monday for electrical installation

The Parsons Police Department will undergo important electrical work on Monday, August 12th, 2024, as part of the installation of a new transfer switch for its emergency generator system.

This essential upgrade, performed by TTT Electric, will require the department to be without power for up to six hours.

• Date: Monday, August 12th, 2024
• Time: 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM
• Closure: The Police Department will be closed to all walk-in and lobby activities during this period.

While the police department building will be closed, officers will continue to respond to calls as usual.

All emergency and non-emergency dispatching will be handled by Labette County 911.

“We understand that this may cause some inconvenience,” the Department posted on Facebook, “and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to improve our emergency response capabilities.”
