Heat advisory in effect from Monday afternoon to Thursday evening

A Heat Advisory is in effect from 1 p.m. Monday through 7 p.m. Thursday.

Daily maximum temperatures will reach the 90s throughout the week, with heat index values of 100-110.

We can expect only minimal overnight relief with overnight low temperatures will be in the 70s.

Remember if you’re working or exercising outside to take frequent breaks and to drink plenty of water to prevent heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

Also make sure that pets and livestock have water and a place in the shade.
