Saturday evening traffic accident injures Pineville Police officer

A Pineville, Missouri police officer was injured in an accident that took place around 7:30 p.m. Saturday night on Business 71 at Hilton Drive in Pineville in McDonald County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol accident report indicates that 33-year-old Justin W. Miller was injured when he attempted to turn his northbound 2019 Dodge Charger Police Interceptor around on a speeding vehicle and was struck by a northbound 2021 Jeep Wrangler driven by 71-year-old Robert G. Allison of Springdale, Arkansas.

Both Miller and  Allison were wearing safety devices.

Allison was not injured.

Officer Miller had moderate injuries.  He was transported by ambulance to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin.
