Eisenhower, only President from Kansas, subject of new book by Dr. Steven Wagner
"Eisenhower for Our Time"
The only President from Kansas is the subject of a book published this spring by Missouri Southern State University history professor, Dr. Steven Wagner.
The book is titled Eisenhower for Our Time.
The book is published by Cornell University Press and is available by clicking the link online. 
In the book, Dr. Wagner examines a series of defining moments that were among Eisenhower’s greatest challenges, some of which resulted in his greatest accomplishments: the decision to run for president, his political philosophy of the “Middle Way,” the creation of a national security policy, the French Indochina War, Senator Joseph McCarthy, the Little Rock Desegregation Crisis, the Race for Space, and the famous Farewell Address.
Dr. Wagner is also the author of “Eisenhower Republicanism: Pursuing the Middle Way.”
The new book will be featured in a series of stories on the NewsTalk KZRG Morning NewsWatch from Monday through Friday of this week (June 24 – 28th).
