Kansas Governor Kelly calls tax cut special session
Three times, the Kansas legislature passed a tax cut bill during the last session to only have the bills vetoed by Governor Kelly.
Next week, there will be a special session to work on a new bill.
Kansas state representative Chuck Smith of Pittsburg told Newstalk KZRG:
“I talked to several of our leaders and I don’t think we have a great game plan. I don’t think we know what the Governor wants. So we are going up there to listen. We are going up there to work with her and we will move whatever we can to give the people of Kansas a tax break. It’s something we really want.”
