Joplin – Not enough people for all the jobs

What are the biggest bottlenecks for economic growth in the Joplin area?  President and CEO of the Joplin Chamber of Commerce, Travis Stevens told Newstalk KZRG:

“Right now the hot topic is labor force.  There are just not enough people.  And that can be any job across the board.  It can be nursing, manufacturing, accounting or legal.  We’re just short on people.  It’s not a Joplin only problem, it’s a nationwide problem.  And it’s one where we all are competing with each other.”
