Two MDC programs to focus on snakes

Snakes will be the focus of two Missouri Department of Conservation programs later this month

The Shoal Creek Center will first hold a virtual program called “Snakes of Missouri Webinar,” from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28th.

After that, the program, “Snakes Alive!” will be in-person at the Shoal Creek Center at 201 Riviera Drive in Joplin on Friday, May 31st from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Both programs will discuss the characteristics of Missouri snake species and their benefits, as well as how to identify venomous and non-venomous snakes.
