Joplin man dead after one-car accident

A Joplin man is dead following a one-car accident on Black Cat Road 2.5 miles northwest of Joplin.

33-year-old Darren Shockley was driving southbound in his 2008 Chevrolet Avalanche when he lost control of the vehicle off the right side of the road and overturned and was ejected.

Shockley was pronounced dead at 7:41.
