“The Better Party” approved as new political party in Missouri
The “Better Party” is official.
Missouri Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft’s office issued a certificate of sufficiency for the Better Party’s petition, submitted April 19, for formation of a new statewide political party.
Pursuant to Section 115.315.5 RSMo, a petition for a new statewide party to be formed must be signed by at least 10,000 registered voters of the state.
The Better Party may now place candidates on the November 5, 2024, general election ballot.
The effort began with U.S. Senate candidate Jared Young, of Joplin.
He says The Better Party will offer Missourians higher-quality independent candidates to vote for.
