Aurora woman arrested after murder in Stone County
A woman from Aurora, Missouri, has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder after a shooting southeast of Marionville early Tuesday morning.
The Stone County Sheriff’s Office says 62-year-old Chris Tina Miller shot and killed a 50-year-old man, believed to be her husband, before fleeing the scene.
She was pulled over just east of Nevada, Missouri, around 9am Tuesday morning and taken into custody.
She is being held without bond and also faces armed criminal action charges.
The investigation into what led to the fatal shooting are being is underway but just weeks ago Miller was charged with making a false police report.
Court documents say she had stated she had been having marital issues and wanted to hurt [her husband] for [[redacted]].
Authorities say they had responded to that address several times for domestic disturbance calls.
