MO sports betting campaign gathers 300k signatures

A campaign to ask Missouri voters to legalize sports betting is not lacking signatures of support.

A group trying to legalize sports betting in Missouri says it’s gathered more than 300-thousand signatures to put their initiative on the ballot. 

The campaign known as “Winning for Missouri Education” plans to collect another 25-thousand signatures by the May 5th deadline. 

State law requires 180-thousand valid signatures in order for the question to go on the election ballot. 

The campaign was launched after repeated attempts by the Missouri Legislature to legalize sports betting failed.
