Train derailment in Wyandotte; No injuries or fire reported

Wyandotte, Okla. – A BNSF train derailed in Wyandotte, Oklahoma a little before 8 p.m. on Saturday.

The train, reportedly moving at high speed, derailed with up to 20 boxcars veering off the track into a nearby yard.

Emergency Management officials are asking motorists to stay away from the scene.

The derailment is blocking Main Street and East 153rd Road

Emergency personnel are on the scene.

No one was hurt and there are no reports of fire, according to a message from the Town of Wyandotte.

Drivers in the area are asked to use alternate routes and to stay away from the scene while emergency and railroad personnel do their work.
