MO House committee continues investigation into ethics complaint

A Missouri House investigation continues into a “personnel inquiry” and a “house ethics complaint.” 

House Speaker Dean Plocher is believed to be the subject of the investigation that has been going on since last October. 

Mountain Grove Republican Hannah Kelly, who is chairing a House committee that is reviewing the matters, has been unable to give any details due to a rule that says that the complaint shall be confidential. 

She tells reporters what happens IF the committee issues a report:  “If findings are found by the committee in any situation and a report is released, it goes to the House journal,” says Kelly. 

The House journal would make the report one official record. 

The report could also include recommendations of action for the House to consider. 

The committee is scheduled to meet on Monday.
