State senator Jill Carter on parents’ rights

A bill was filed recently in the Missouri house that would impose penalties for teachers and school staff that aid in the social transition in schools without the consent of the parents.  

Missouri state senator Jill Carter told Newstalk KZRG:  

“I definitely think parents’ rights should supersede what’s going on in education.  This should not be happening with a counselor or a nurse in a school, it should be happening with the consultation of parents.”
