City Council Candidate Forum slated for Monday night in Council Chambers

A Joplin City Council Candidate Forum is slated for City Council Chambers in City Hall at 602 S. Main at  7 p.m. Monday night.

The public and media are invited to attend.

Six people are running in the election that will be held on April 2nd.

Two General Seats with 4-year terms are open. Candidates seeking those seats include Mayor Pro-Tem Keenan Cortez, Joshua Bard and Natasha Klue-Michael.

Candidates running unopposed are incumbent Charles “Chuck” Copple in Zone II; Ryan Jackson in Zone III; and Doris Carlin for a 2-year general seat term.

The City Council Candidate Forum will allow candidates to introduce themselves and their campaign goals

The forum is being sponsored by  the MSSU Department of Communication and will be broadcast live on KGCS-TV and recorded for replay at 6 p.m. on March 26th and 28th.

It will also be posted on the station’s YouTube channel: KGCS – Missouri Southern State University.
