College Heights senior named National Merit finalist

College Heights Christian School announced that senior Ethan Ukena has been named a finalist in the 2023 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Ethan is the son of Jim and Shannon Ukena of Carthage.

The nationwide pool of Semifinalists represents less than one percent of high school seniors. Finalists are selected based on their academic records, school and community activities, employment, demonstration of leadership abilities, and honors and awards received.

College Heights Christian School, started in 1978, has over 600 students per year in facility that includes 41 classrooms.

It represents 70 different churches in the 4-State area.
