Legislation urging Parson to send Missouri National Guard to Texas to protect border
A state house committee could hear a proposal that would urge the governor to send the Missouri National Guard to Texas to protect the U.S. border.
The proposal is sponsored by Republican Kurtis Gregory of Marshall.
His resolution states that members can provide operational surveillance, engineering, administrative, and mechanical support to (quote) “secure” the U.S. border.
Gov. Mike Parson recently returned from the U.S.-Mexico border where he stood with 24 other Republican governors to show support for Texas on its efforts to block illegal border crossings.
