KDHE issues boil order for Columbus, Kansas water system

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has issued a boil order for the City of Columbus in Cherokee County.

The KDHE issued the order after a break in a line resulted in a loss of pressure.

The pressure loss can result in a drop in chlorine and possible bacterial contamination.

The boil order will remain in effect until crews fix the problem, water samples are tested and the KDHE gives the all clear for normal use to resume.
