Independence Police announces a new online crash reporting system.

The Independence, Kansas Police Department (IPD) has introduced a new online crash reporting system that allows the public to create their own crash reports without delay.
You can utilize the online reporting system to report any non-injury accidents that occur within the city limits of Independence, Kansas, whether they happen on public streets or private parking lots.
Drivers who have been involved in an accident resulting in injury, a hit-and-run, or DUI must still call IPD to report a crash.
This report is solely for insurance purposes and will not be assigned to an officer for further action. To access online crash reporting navigate to the City of Independence website, under the “Government” tab select “Police Department” and then select “Online Accident Reporting” on the left side of the page
You can also type the link below into your browser or use your phone to scan the QR code. Once you complete the report you will see instructions on how to print it.
