Freeman Health System President and CEO – Paula Baker – on retirement plans
Recently, Freeman Health System President and CEO, Paula Baker, announced that she was giving a one year notice that she was going to retire.
Baker told the Newstalk KZRG Morning Newswatch, the reason she is retiring is so she can spend more time with her husband and son. “My son is a 16 year old sophomore in high school, those days are passing by so quickly and I need to spend some priority time with him while he is at home. I’m sure any parent could understand.”
Some of the accomplishments Baker is proud of doing during her tenure include the Freeman response to the Joplin tornado, serving the community during the covid pandemic and the expansion on the Joplin west hospital with a new tower building and including the addition of a new 50 bed hospital in Pittsburg, Kansas coming soon.
