Parson talks about final State of the State address – leaving politics
Governor Mike Parson says delivering his final State of the State address last week was bittersweet.
He says he’s proud of his accomplishments since becoming governor in 2018.
Parson is looking forward to going back to his southwest Missouri farm on a full-time basis.
Parson says: “I don’t know what the future holds, I mean, I’m not going to be in politics anymore. I do know that but, you know, I got a family back home that gave up so much for me to be a public servant over the years and I want to try to do a little make up time with them for my grandkids, and do the little things everybody else gets to do, take them to school, go to go to different functions that they have, and enjoy some family time.”
The governor leaves office at the end of this year.
