Fire destroys Arrowhead Yacht Club at Grand Lake

For the second time in ten days, fire struck the marina area at Grand Lake in northeast Oklahoma.

Fire units began to arrive around 5 p.m. Saturday evening.

The fire reportedly destroyed the restaurant at the Arrowhead Yacht Club (AYC).

Just over two weeks ago, several boats that were on fire had to be pushed away from the marina.

Multiple fire units responded to the fire Saturday night which reportedly is under investigation.

Arrowhead Yacht Club reported on social media that no one was on the property at AYC when the fire started.

“All of the boats in the marina are fine, the only thing affected was the restaurant,” the Club reported in the Facebook post.

“Please do not come to the property, so we can allow the investigation to take place,” the post continued. “We appreciate all of your thoughts, concerns, and prayers during this time.”
