Blue Scholarship program continues to provide funding for law enforcement recruits

The Missouri Department of Public Safety  continues to help its team members.

From July-December 2023 alone, 137 Missouri Blue Scholarships were approved for law enforcement recruits, totaling over $585,000.

Over 195 additional scholarship applications will be eligible for consideration once these additional recruits’ academy training begins in 2024! Funding for the Blue Scholarship fund is $2 million, double the $1 million in the fund for the first year.

The DPS POST team administers the scholarship program and does so with no additional staff.

The Blue Scholarship pays up to $5,000 toward tuition at a Missouri law enforcement training academy.
