Missing Exeter woman found dead in car crash

A missing woman from southwest Missouri has been found dead.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 67-year-old Dorothy Lewis‘s car went off the road, hit some trees, went airborne and overturned in a rural part of Barry County Friday evening.

It wasn’t until late Tuesday night that deputies were notified of the crash due to its rural location.

Lewis, of Exeter, was first reported missing by the Barry County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday, December 14.
