Joplin Police arrest sexual assault suspect

On December 13, 2023, an officer with the Joplin Police Department was contacted in reference to a sexual assault that had occurred on December 12, 2023.

Officers gathered initial information and the case was turned over to Joplin Police Detectives. During the investigation it was determined that a juvenile female was sexually assaulted by the suspect.

Kenneth Raye Corcran II (age 21 of Joplin, MO) was subsequently arrested for Statutory Sodomy 1st. Corcran is being held on a “no bond” at the Jasper County Jail.

The investigation is ongoing and further information will be released as it becomes available.
