Pitt State plans 14th Annual Holly Jolly Tubas concert

The Holly Jolly Tubas concert returns on Dec. 17 for the 14th year at Pittsburg State University, dedicated to a low brass instrument that doesn’t often get the limelight.

Organized by new Assistant Professor of low brass Jobey Wilson, who also is the new director of the Pride of the Plains Marching Band, it will be held in the Sharon Kay Dean Recital Hall in McCray Hall, 205 E. Lindburg.

Registration for participating musicians will be held from 1:30 to 2:15 p.m., with rehearsal beginning at 2:30 p.m. and the concert at 4 p.m. The concert is open to the public.

Registration for musicians is $10 and may be paid in cash or with check.
