One car rear-ends another on North Main Street Road; two injured

An accident around 5:15 Friday evening on North Main Street road about a quarter mile south of Airport Drive caused injuries to two people.

The Missouri State Highway Patrols says the accident occurred when a vehicle driven by 35-year-old Christian D. Tullis of Joplin was stopped in the northbound lane when it was hit from the rear by a northbound vehicle driven by 85-year-old Linda M. Salzer of Joplin.

Salzer received moderate injuries as did a passenger in Tullis's vehicle, 37-year-old Natasha R. Tullis.

Both the injured were taken to a Joplin hospital.
